WR HUNTER SHARPPlaying in his third career game, Sharp scored his first NFL touchdown on a 16-yard pass from Eli Manning in the first quarter.

INTERIM HEAD COACH STEVE SPAGNUOLOThe Giants ended the season on a positive note, recording their first victory under interim head coach/defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

RB ORLEANS DARKWAOn the second play of the game, running back Orleans Darkwa broke a 77-yard touchdown run, the Giants' longest carry since Ahmad Bradshaw broke a 77-yarder at Giants Stadium on Nov. 16, 2008 in a win over the Ravens. He finished with a career-high 154 yards as the Giants rushed for 260 yards as a team.

LB KELVIN SHEPPARDFollowing Orleans Darkwa's big play to start the game, Sheppard intercepted Kirk Cousins on the Redskins' ensuing possession, his first career pick. He returned it 12 yards down to the Redskins 18, and the Giants quickly turned it into six points. Sheppard all but sealed the game later on by intercepting Cousins again with under three minutes to play.

CB ROSS COCKRELLMaking his eighth start of the season in a depleted secondary, Cockrell grabbed another interception off Kirk Cousins early in the second half. Last week, he picked off Arizona's Drew Stanton twice at University of Phoenix Stadium.

OFFENSIVE LINEIt wasn't the lineup the Giants drew up in training camp, but the offensive line finished strong, paving the way for a season-high 260 yards on the ground.
