Five players primed for breakout year
Giants.com names five potential breakout players at Training Camp

WR GEREMY DAVISDavis was one of the most improved players of spring, catching the attention of head coach Ben McAdoo and quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants' sixth-round draft pick in 2015 played in 10 games as a rookie and caught two passes for 21 yards.

RB PAUL PERKINSThe fifth-round draft choice missed much of spring workouts while fulfilling academic obligations at UCLA. But as he catches up, coaches rave about his potential as a three-down back.

WR MYLES WHITEWhite played in a career-high 12 games in 2015 and caught his first touchdown in the NFL last season. With the departure of Rueben Randle in free agency, White will try to carve out a larger role in 2016.

WR STERLING SHEPARDThe second-round draft choice out of Oklahoma will push the wide receiver competition this summer behind Odell Beckham Jr., who thought Shepard was the steal of the draft. "I just feel like I really know what he's capable of," Beckham said, "and I'd rather let him just shock the world than spill his secrets."

DE OWA ODIGHIZUWA After being limited to just four games as a rookie due to injuries, last year's third-round draft choice is looking to become the third pass rusher behind Jason Pierre-Paul and newcomer Olivier Vernon.
