LB B.J. GOODSONIn Goodson's first series as starting middle linebacker, the Giants forced the Steelers to go three-and-out. It was an impressive start for the second-year pro, who notched one of three sacks for the defense.

DT JAY BROMLEYOn the top line next to All-Pro Damon Harrison, Bromley got off to a good start with three tackles on the night, including a nice play to bring down running back Fitzgerald Toussaint in the backfield early in the game.

KICKER ALDRICK ROSASWith the recent addition of veteran kicker Mike Nugent to the roster, Rosas didn't flinch is his first preseason game with the Giants, converting both of his attempts with a long of 52 yards.  

TE RHETT ELLISONKnown as a blocker, Ellison also showed what he can do in the passing game on Friday night, recording three catches for 20 yards, all of which came on the Giants' second drive that helped set up a chip-shot field goal.

DE DEVIN TAYLORRookie quarterback Joshua Dobbs learned it's not a good idea to try to throw a pass over a 6-foot-8 defensive end. Taylor taught him the lesson early in the second quarter, returning it 23 yards down to the Steelers 17 to set up a Giants field goal.
