5 Players Who Stood Out vs. Steelers
Giants.com's Michael Eisen takes a look at five players who shined during the first game of the preseason.

WR Victor CruzThe Pro Bowl receiver had just one reception, but what a catch it was. Cruz hauled in a long pass from Eli Manning and turned it into a 57-yard touchdown. He is still the Giants' most electrifying player, despite missing every offseason workout.

DE Damontre MooreThe third-round draft choice was a disruptive force all night. Taking most of the snaps at right defensive end, he blocked a punt, was in on at least four tackles and pressured the Pittsburgh quarterbacks.

Safety Tyler SashWith rookie safety Cooper Taylor sidelined with a hamstring injury, Sash stepped up and made two big plays. He tackled rookie quarterback Landry Jones in the end zone for a safety and recovered David Gilreath's fumble on a punt return. Sash also had four tackles and deflected a pass.

Guard Brandon MosleyThe 2012 fourth-round draft choice made a significant step in his development after spending all of last season on injured reserve. He started in place of Chris Snee at right guard and held his own against Pittsburgh's first-team defensive front. Mosley took more snaps than any other starting offensive lineman.

DE Adewale Ojomo Second-year defensive end Adewale Ojomo, who starred last preseason with four sacks in three games, brought it once again in Pittsburgh. Ojomo accounted for 1.5 of the Giants' five sacks against the Steelers.
