5 Players to Watch at Minicamp
Five players to keep an eye on as the Giants kick off minicamp Tuesday

QB DAVIS WEBB: For the second consecutive year, the Giants drafted a quarterback to learn from and maybe someday take over for Eli Manning. This year, it was fourth-rounder Kyle Lauletta. In 2017, it was Davis Webb in the third round. Webb will look to hold onto his backup role as he has worked with the second team throughout spring.

RB SAQUON BARKLEY: The dynamic running back headlines the Giants' 2018 draft class, which also includes a mauler at guard in Will Hernandez. Barkley, with tree trunks for legs, lines up all over the field as coach Pat Shurmur finds the best way to utilize his full arsenal of weapons.

CB WILLIAM GAY: The savvy veteran has never missed a game in his 11 seasons, and by the looks of it, the longtime Steeler doesn't take off any plays in practice either. Gay made a couple of interceptions this spring and caused a few more.

WR CODY LATIMER: Latimer, a former second-round draft choice by the Broncos in 2014, played behind the likes of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in his first four years. Now he is trying to carve out a role on the Giants' roster with wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert, who was his position coach in Denver. Latimer made some big plays in OTAs with Odell Beckham Jr. sidelined.

TE RHETT ELLISON: The thunder to Evan Engram's lightning, Ellison played under coach Pat Shurmur for a year in Minnesota. Now he is looking to make up one of the best tight end tandems in the league alongside Engram. Known mostly for his blocking, Ellison has flashed his hands as a receiver this spring.
