WR Corey WashingtonHe did it again. A week after his late 73-yard touchdown propelled the Giants to a victory over the Buffalo Bills in the Hall of Fame Game, Washington again used his 6-4, 214-pound frame to put the Giants on top for good. With 2:50 left in the game and the Giants trailing by three points, Washington hauled in a 3-yard touchdown pass from Curtis Painter for the late lead and eventual victory.

CB Walter Thurmond IIIThurmond, nicknamed "The Quiet Assassin," limited the damage after the Giants' gave up a big play to Dri Archer on the Steelers' opening drive. Thurmond, as he's known for, played tight coverage all night, including on a potential Lance Moore touchdown on third down in the first quarter, holding Pittsburgh to a short field goal.

LS Zak DeOssieLong snapping is only half of DeOssie's job. The other is flying down the field and covering the returner, which he excelled at on Saturday night. DeOssie accounted for two of the Giants' five special teams tackles against Pittsburgh.

QB Curtis PainterPainter was a perfect 7-of-7 passing for 68 yards and the game-winning touchdown throw to Washington in the closing minutes of Saturday's contest against the Steelers. Painter, who was the third quarterback behind Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib, had a passer rating of 146.7.
