Wide receiver Mario Manningham will not play tonight, leaving the Giants without a third offensive starter for their important game against the New Orleans Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Manningham, the Giants' third-leading receiver, will sit out the game with a knee injury. It will be the second game this season he has missed; he did not play at Philadelphia on Sept. 25 because of a concussion. Manningham has 34 catches for 404 yards and three touchdowns this year. Victor Cruz will start in place of Manningham.
The other sidelined offensive starters are running back Ahmad Bradshaw and left tackle Will Beatty. Bradshaw, the Giants' leading rusher, will miss his fourth consecutive game with a stress fracture in his foot. He will again be replaced by Brandon Jacobs.
Beatty underwent surgery last week to repair a detached retina and is out indefinitely. David Diehl will move from left guard to tackle and Kevin Boothe will start at guard.
Linebacker Michael Boley will miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury and will be replaced by rookie Jacquian Williams.
Also inactive are defensive back and punt team gunner Derrick Martin (hamstring), defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy and offensive lineman James Brewer.
Mark Herzlich will start his second game in a row at middle linebacker in place of fellow rookie Greg Jones.
