Mario Manningham did not travel to Philadelphia with the Giants and has been declared out of tomorrow's game against the Eagles in Lincoln Financial Field.
The fourth-year wide receiver has undergone a battery of tests since being dinged in the Giants' 28-16 victory over St. Louis on Monday night. He was listed as doubtful on the team's injury report yesterday, but was downgraded today. Manningham is the Giants' second-leading receiver with seven receptions for 105 yards.
Coach Tom Coughlin has not said who will start in Manningham's place. Victor Cruz said yesterday he expects to play a larger role in the offense this week. Cruz, rookie Jerrel Jernigan – inactive the first two weeks – and veterans Brandon Stokley, Devin Thomas and Michael Clayton could all help fill the void left by Manningham's absence.
Hakeem Nicks, who leads the Giants will 11 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown, will start on the other side.
