NEWS AND NOTES FROM GIANTS PRACTICE
*Wide receiver Domenik Hixon, who sat out the Panthers game with a concussion, has been cleared to return to work and Head Coach Tom Coughlin hopes to have him on the field Wednesday.
Hixon said he remembers part of the play on which he was hit by Tampa Bay linebacker Mason Foster.
"Yeah, painful parts," Hixon said. "Helmet coming off, that wasn't a good part either.
"It's just football and anybody can get hit in the back of the head. It's just a part of the game, but it is what it is."
*Coughlin said a few injured players were examined this morning at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He hopes running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who missed the Panthers game with a neck injury, will be cleared to play in Philadelphia.
"There are still issues," Coughlin said. "If it was just pain, he'd be going."
*Coughlin said the knee injury suffered by Antrel Rolle is not serious, though the veteran safety did not practice.
"He wasn't supposed to go today," Coughlin said. "He was to be treated and then Wednesday would be his day."
*Tackle David Diehl (knee) also missed practice.
"I hope we can see some progress and maybe have him this week," Coughlin said.
*Cornerback Michael Coe said his injured hamstring is "coming along slowly but surely," but he doesn't know if he will be able to play against the Eagles.
*Rookie Jayron Hosley, another corner with a hammy issue, said, "It's a lot better. It's still a little soreness, but at the same time it's improving. That's the main thing right now is getting better each day, taking it day-by-day."
