After Tom Coughlin's worst start as head coach, the Giants have cleaned up their game to win two in a row. The defense has not allowed a touchdown in 10 consecutive quarters while the offense has not turned the ball over in the last two games.
Now the Giants, despite being just 2-6, sit two games back of the NFC East lead.
"It's been a challenge every week to our guys and their attitude has been great," Coughlin said yesterday. "As I've mentioned over and over, they've come in here on Wednesdays and they're excited about getting started again on the next opponent. That's been very consistent. We knew full well that this was a really, really important game for us, not only because we had the bye following but because if we were going to have any chance to make a run in a very, let's be frank, difficult schedule in the second half of the year, we had to put ourselves in position here."
