Although all three tight ends on the Giants roster – Jake Ballard, Bear Pascoe and Travis Beckum – are on the injury list the team released today, two of them will practice: Pascoe (who has injured ribs) and Beckum (who missed last week's game against Washington with a chest injury).
Ballard sprained his knee against the Redskins, and Tom Coughlin said Monday it is unlikely the team's fourth-leading receiver will face the Jets.
Center David Baas, who has missed three games with a neck injury, practiced yesterday and will work again today. At his news conference, Coughlin declined to reveal whether Baas will move right back into the lineup or if Kevin Boothe stays at center with Mitch Petrus at left guard.
Wide receiver Marion Manningham, who has been managing knee issues for several weeks, is not expected to practice today.
Coughlin said there are no changes regarding the status of running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and defensive end Osi Umenyiora (ankle/knee). Bradshaw won't practice today but is expected to work within and next two days and should play on Saturday, and Umenyiora is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game.
Linebacker Mark Herzlich (ankle) has begun running on a treadmill, but is not ready to return to practice.
Defensive back Derrick Martin (back) is also on the injury list.
