The New York Giants and safety Antrel Rolle parted ways this week when the 10-year NFL veteran signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bears.
Rolle, a Giants defensive co-captain for the last two years, started all 84 games over the last five seasons since joining Big Blue in 2010, including four postseason games en route to claiming the franchise's fourth Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLVI. Rolle spent his first five years in the league with the Arizona Cardinals, who selected him out of the University of Miami with the eighth overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.
