Saquon Barkley is three-for-three in Pepsi Rookie of the Week nominations, but will he win this time? You can help decide.
The second overall draft pick last week became the first player in Giants history with more than 100 scrimmage yards in each of his first three career games. He has 353 total (216 rushing, 137 receiving) through three weeks.
In the 27-22 win over the Texans, Barkley carried the ball 17 times for 82 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown run on the team's first possession. He also added five catches for 35 yards a week after setting the franchise single-game record with 14 receptions.
"I kind of just knew we were going to win this game just the way we were in the locker room before the game," Barkley said. "It was different than the first two games how the energy was different, the way we looked in warmups was different. It was just a different vibe. Obviously, we got off to a great start and that's something that we really focused on this week. Coach [Pat Shurmur] challenged us this week to come out and have a fast start and we were able to do that on both sides of the ball."
