Summers in the NFL boil down to one concern: making a roster.

This is true for all players, but especially for rookies. For some, the NFL Draft opens up a lane toward that end goal. For others, an invitation to walk on is all they can ask.

Beginning with rookie mini-camp – which commences this evening -- those undrafted playes receive nothing more than a number and a locker. It's then up to them to prove their value come autumn. It is no easy task, but it is possible. From Hall of Famer Emlen Tunnell to Victor Cruz, undrafted players make rosters every year, and 2013 likely won't be any different.
