No. 17: Who is most likely to make his first Pro Bowl?
Dan Salomone: Julian Love was going to dye his hair half-blond if safety Xavier McKinney made the Pro Bowl last year. It was looking like he would have to deliver on the promise as McKinney, with the trademark look, became the only defensive back in the NFL last season with at least 90 tackles, 10 passes defensed and five interceptions. While it wasn't enough to get him to the all-star game, he is certainly on the radar in 2022.
McKinney was asked this spring about the next step in his career with the arrival of defensive coordinator Wink Martindale.
"Take it 10 times forward," McKinney said. "That's what I'm trying to do. Trying to make sure whatever it is I need to do to help this team win games and help us play great defense, that's what I'm willing to do and that's what I'm going to do. For me, that's what I'm focused on."
Once again, the New York Giants are bringing back their classic blue uniforms from the '80s and '90s this Sunday as part of two Legacy Games presented by Quest.
