3:31 p.m. -- Wednesday marked the first practice that saw WR Malik Nabers on the field with his teammates since the star wide receiver suffered a knee injury in Week 4 of last season. The third-year wideout took part in individual drills in the opening practice of training camp and was back out there doing the same on Thursday. This was a step in the right direction for Nabers, who was happy to be able to once again practice with his teammates.
"It felt good to be out there with the guys, get a couple throws, just moving around" Nabers told the media Thursday. "I haven't moved around in a long time, running routes felt good out there."
While participating in the first two practices of training camp is certainly an encouraging sign for the young receiver, Nabers would not guarantee anything in terms of when he might be able to suit up for a game this season.
"There's no target date," said Nabers. "Just stacking days. I'll continue to let everybody know how I feel and when I'm able to get back out there."
The calendar has not yet flipped to August, so there is still plenty of time before the Giants take the field for the season opener against the Cowboys on September 13. All Nabers can do right now is put in the work each day and see how his body feels. On that front, he's off to a promising start.
"I felt great," Nabers said about his body's response to his first practice. "My body continues to be stacking days. The training staff has a good plan on what they want me to do, so I'll continue to keep that in mind, just tell them how I feel and continue to get out there as much as possible."
3:15 p.m. -- OLB Abdul Carter has produced "two good practices" to start his second NFL training camp, according to his head coach. "He is doing everything well right now," John Harbaugh said. "He was in the backfield quite a bit. He's going against a really good tackle (LT Andrew Thomas), too. Those guys are making each other better. I just appreciate that kind of competition. Ones against ones a lot of times. And he looked good. He is not the only guy."
OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux started the day with an interception during a situational team period. The fifth-year outside linebacker tipped the pass to himself, corralled it, and ran it the other way for the score. Thibodeaux batted a pass in yesterday's practice, and Harbaugh spoke today about the importance of those plays in the grand scheme of the game.
"I like to see a lot of that," the head coach said about Thibodeaux's play on Thursday. "That's what you want to see. He's a pretty athletic guy. He's aware. He does have good hands. The ability to rush the passer and also the awareness to bat balls down is massive. Batted balls is a big stat in defensive football in terms of getting off the field. So, it's something we work on. We do not coach our guys against batting balls down in any drill we do. We want to practice it."
1:22 p.m. — The Giants signed LB Anfernee Orji and waived DL Ben Barten. Orji, 6-2 and 230 pounds, has played in 16 games in his NFL career with two starts – all with the Saints in 2024. He also spent time with the Titans last season. The Vanderbilt product led the SEC with 9.0 tackles per game as a senior in 2022 and became the first Commodore to lead the team in tackles for three consecutive seasons since 2003-05 (Moses Osemweige).
Wednesday, July 29
3 p.m. -- Coach John Harbaugh assessed the first practice of training camp in West Virginia.
"I sure appreciate you being here in this beautiful setting," he said. "This is a really, really great place. I was really, really happy with practice. I'm really happy with the situation as far as what we found here when we got here. Thought our staff did a phenomenal job, led by (Assistant to the Head Coach/Defensive Assistant) Megan Rosburg and many, many others. Just did a great job of getting us on point. I just can't say enough about that. And then the Greenbrier people, too. So accommodating, so welcoming. Not just roll out the red carpet, but try to make it the most productive that they can for us. The fields are in great shape. Probably the number one thing is the fields and they are in a great shape. So, I'm really, really happy about that. And then the mountains are really incredible."
The head coach added the team has now flipped the switch to game prep mode.
"We're chasing execution," Harbaugh said. "We're chasing execution. We're at a stage now, we're getting ready for the games. I mean, that's what practice is for. We're not here to practice. It's not a training camp exercise. We're here to prepare for the games that we're going to play. What plays we call, how we practice, all those things. We're not just running plays out here to run plays. That's why we want to keep our plays to ourselves when we're doing them out here. So, that's what we're evaluating, is our execution."
1 p.m. -- Before the team took the field, GM Joe Schoen provided injury updates on a few key contributors, starting with WR Malik Nabers. The star wideout has been working his way back from the knee injury he suffered during Week 4 of last season.
"We're going to see," Schoen said about Nabers returning for Week 1. "Again, this is day one here, so we've got a really good plan for him. The medical staff has a really good plan for him, and we're going to, always say listen to the patients. So, we're going to see how he reacts. And again, we got a good plan in place, so as long as everything goes as planned we'll listen to the to Malik and his body and again, hopefully he'll be ready and we'll see how it plays out. But no predictions right now, just because we have a long way to go, still a lot of camp."
"We'll see where he's at [tomorrow]," coach John Harbaugh added. "Part of it will be that, how it feels, how it responds, how it reacts, all those things. I think our guys, our trainers and staff, will be monitoring. See how the knee responds more than anything. We'll just take it one day at a time. It was encouraging today."
Schoen mentioned that the 23-year-old has already been cutting and running routes, so his return to the practice field in some capacity is another step towards his eventual return.
The other big injury update was the return of RB Cam Skattebo, who took part in team drills after his general manager deemed him "good to go" for the start of camp.
"He'll be out here, he'll be ready to go today, and he'll be doing everything," Schoen noted.
Tuesday, July 28
5:08 p.m. -- The Giants signed DL Marlon Davidson and TE Tyler Moore.
TE Thomas Fidone II and DL Sam Roberts also passed their physicals and will come off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Davidson has played in 25 games with four starts since entering the NFL in 2020. His career totals include 40 total tackles (20 solo), two sacks, three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, one fumble recovery, two passes defensed, and one interception which he returned for a touchdown.
The 6-foot-3, 278-pound lineman was originally a second-round pick (No. 47 overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He has spent time with the Falcons (2020-2022), San Francisco 49ers (2023), Tennessee Titans (2023-2024), and Houston Texans (2025).
Prior to entering the NFL, Davidson played four seasons at Auburn (2016-2019), where he was named first-team All-SEC during his senior campaign. He finished his Auburn career with 51 starts, 175 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss and 17.0 sacks.
Moore went undrafted this year after 45 games at Iowa State.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end played one game as a true freshman before redshirting the rest of the season. Over the next four years, Moore caught 21 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
Moore made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll nine semesters during his time at Iowa State and was also named Academic All-Big 12 each year from 2022-2025.

12:15 p.m. -- The Giants announced plans to expand and transform their team headquarters, anchored by a new and modern football-focused facility designed to elevate player performance, preparation, and recovery. The project reflects the organization's continued commitment to investing in a world-class environment that directly supports performance and player well-being. This spring the Giants finished a complete renovation and expansion of their cafeteria.
The key enhancements of the new facility include:
- Expanded locker room spanning more than 6,000 square feet, featuring 100 full-size lockers
- State-of-the-art weight room with more than 11,000 square feet, including a nutrition bar and cardio mezzanine overlooking the indoor field
- Advanced sports medicine and rehabilitation space tripling the current footprint
- Integrated recovery and wellness areas, including hydrotherapy, steam, sauna, red light therapy, cryotherapy, dry float tanks, and hyperbaric chambers.
- Modernized player and team areas supporting preparation throughout the week
The New York Giants announced plans to expand and transform their team headquarters, anchored by a new and modern football-focused facility designed to elevate player performance, preparation, and recovery.

Saturday, July 25
5:21 p.m. -- The Giants waived LB Cam Jones and DL C.J. Ravenell (Non-Football Injury). Jones, who spent his first two NFL seasons with the Chiefs and last year with the Jets, had been with the Giants since late March. Ravenell, who played 14 games with one start for the Titans in 2025, was claimed off waivers by the Giants earlier this month.
Thursday, July 23
5:44 p.m. -- The Giants placed the following three players on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list before the start of training camp:
- TE Thomas Fidone II
- DL Sam Roberts
- DL Roy Robertson-Harris
A player can only be placed on the active/PUP list before the start of training camp. The player counts against the 90-man roster limit and can come off the PUP list at any point during camp and practice immediately. He can participate in team meetings and use the team facilities during the preseason while on active/PUP. He can also work out on the side during practices but cannot participate in any portion of practice (walkthroughs, individual drills, seven-on-sevens, team drills, etc.).
Players on the active/PUP list could be moved to the reserve/PUP list during roster cutdowns. If placed on the reserve/PUP list, a player wouldn't count against the active roster and must sit out the first four games.
