Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs each ran for one touchdown, and Eli Manning passed for a third as the Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 21-3.  In a game postponed, then relocated to Detroit due to a snow storm that damaged the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis, the Giants overcame a sluggish first quarter, scoring three unanswered touchdowns after first trailing 3-0.

The Giants return to the New Meadowlands Stadium this Sunday for a pivotal game against division rival Philadelphia.

With the three touchdowns scored against Minnesota, an additional $1,800 was raised for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance and its Healthy U program, bringing the total through Week 14 to $24,000.  A check in this amount will be formally presented to the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance to benefit the Healthy U obesity program at the last regular season home game this Sunday. Representatives of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Master Broker companies, and the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance will participate in this presentation.

Touchdowns for Families Program:
For every touchdown the New York Giants score, Horizon BCBSNJ will donate $250.00 to the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance.  The Alliance will use that money to expand its "Healthy U" initiative, which is the nation's largest after school childhood obesity prevention and education program.  New this year, Horizon BCBSNJ invited its Master Broker companies to participate as well, and 12 have generously pledged an additional $25.00 per touchdown to the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance. With the three touchdowns scored this week, the Alliance raised $750 through Horizon and $1,050 through its Master Brokers, bringing the total raised through Week 14 to $24,000. Tight End Kevin Boss is the Official Spokesperson for the Touchdowns for Families Program this season.

If the New York Giants make the NFL post season, Horizon BCBSNJ will increase its donation to $500.00 for each touchdown that the Giants score in each playoff game.  If the Giants make the championship game Horizon BCBSNJ will increase its donation to $1,000.00 for each touchdown the Giants score.
