Giants Sweep Cowboys – Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

Four touchdowns raise $1,000 for the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance

The New York Giants arguably played their best game since the beginning of the season with a 31 – 24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday at Giants Stadium.  The offense, defense and special teams all contributed to the win that puts the Giants record at 7-5.  The Giants now trail both the Eagles and Cowboys by one game in the highly competitive NFC East.

The Giants had several big plays in the victory including an electrifying 74-yard pass from Eli Manning to Brandon Jacobs and a stunning 79-yard punt return for a touchdown by speedster Dominik Hixon.  The other Giants scores came on a one-yard touchdown plunge by Brandon Jacobs and a nifty 21-yard pass from Manning to rookie wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.

Next up for the Giants is a critical game at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants are eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 25.3 points per game and are   seventh in the NFL in total yards gained on offense.
