1. ONSIDE KICK VS. 49ERS

The Giants recovered an onside kick in the third quarter against the 49ers, their first successful onside kick since Nov. 7, 2004 vs. Chicago.

San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh challenged the Giants' recovery of Josh Brown's onside kick, but referee Gene Steratore confirmed the ruling.

Despite the onside kick recovery, the Giants fell to the 49ers, 16-10

2. ONSIDE KICK VS. REDSKINS

The Giants' recovered an onside kick on the second-half kickoff  against Washington – which was from the opponent's 35-yard line, because of a pair of 15-yard penalties (unsportsmanlike conduct and an ejection) on receiver Santana Moss, who got in  referee Jeff Triplette's face after quarterback Robert Griffin III's touchdown was taken off the board. Chandler Fenner recovered the onside kick.

The Giants would go on to win the game, 24-13.

The Giants came away with one of their best wins of the season with a 37-27 defeat of the Rams.

The 53-yarder was the longest by a Giant since Lawrence Tynes kicked a field goal from the same distance at Dallas on Oct. 25, 2010. Brown's 53-yard field goal was his longest since he booted a 53-yarder on Nov. 21, 2010 for St. Louis vs. Atlanta.

Brown finished the season with 24 successes in 26 attempts (one of the misses was a block), a 92.3 percentage that is a Giants single-season record. The former mark of 92.1 (35 of 38) was set by John Carney in 2008.
