2024 (Junior)A member of the Mackey Award watch list, Thomas Fidone II played in all 13 games in 2024 with nine starts. He set career highs with 36 receptions and 373 receiving yards, ranking fourth on the team in receptions. Fidone caught multiple passes in 10 of his 13 games.
Fidone caught three passes against UTEP and then had a 13-yard reception against Colorado. Fidone had two catches for 13 yards against Northern Iowa. He had two catches and a then-career-high 46 receiving yards against Illinois, including a 29-yard reception. Fidone made three catches for 39 yards at Purdue. He had three more catches for 15 yards against Rutgers. Fidone set career highs with six receptions and 91 receiving yards at Indiana. He had four catches for 55 yards at Ohio State, including a career-long 33-yard reception. Fidone caught four passes for 16 yards against UCLA. He had two catches for nine yards at USC. Fidone had a 25-yard reception at Iowa. In the Pinstripe Bowl victory over Boston College, Fidone led Nebraska with five receptions totaling 50 yards.
2023 (Sophomore)
Fidone played in all 12 games with eight starts in 2023. He led Nebraska with four touchdown catches and ranked second on the team with 25 receptions and 260 receiving yards. His four touchdown receptions were the most by a Husker tight end since 2010.
Fidone caught two passes for 13 yards at Colorado, including a four-yard touchdown on the game's final play. Fidone set a career high with four catches against Northern Illinois, putting up 42 receiving yards. He hauled in a then-career-long 20-yard reception and had a 16-yard touchdown catch.
Fidone made it three straight games with a touchdown catch with a career-long 29-yard scoring grab against Louisiana Tech. With that catch, he became the first Husker tight end to have a touchdown reception in three consecutive games since Kyler Reed in 2010. Fidone caught two passes for 31 yards against No. 2 Michigan. At Illinois, Fidone had two receptions and 42 receiving yards. He had three catches for 18 yards against Northwestern.
Fidone's lone catch against Purdue was a one-yard touchdown grab. He caught three passes for a career-high 43 yards at Michigan State, including a 27-yard reception. Fidone caught a combined six passes over the season's final three games.
2022 (Redshirt Freshman)
Fidone did not play in a game in 2022. He was limited throughout the year while recovering from an injury.
2021 (Redshirt)
Fidone suffered an injury prior to the 2021 season that limited his ability to contribute as a true freshman. After rehabbing the injury, Fidone was able to make his Husker debut at No. 19 Wisconsin, the only action he saw during the season.
Before Nebraska (Lewis Central HS)
Fidone was the country's top tight end recruit and a top 40 recruit, the highest-rated recruit to sign with NU since 2008. Fidone was a high school All-American for Lewis Central High School, as he was selected for the 2021 All-American Bowl, which featured the nation's top 100 seniors. Fidone was also the lone tight end on the 2020 Sports Illustrated All-America first team. He enrolled at Nebraska in January.
A second-team preseason USA Today All-American, Fidone put up big numbers in his senior season en route to first-team All-America accolades at the conclusion of the season. He caught 43 passes for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games, according to the Des Moines Register. Despite facing constant double and triple teams, Fidone averaged 84.5 receiving yards per game and 19.7 yards per catch, an average that ranked fourth in the state according to the Register. For his efforts, Fidone was named to the All-Iowa Elite team in addition to being an all-state selection. As a junior, Fidone had 39 receptions for 576 yards and seven touchdowns to help the Titans reach the state semifinals. Fidone caught more than 100 passes in his prep career while amassing more than 1,500 receiving yards and more than 20 touchdowns.
Fidone was rated as the No. 1 tight end in the 2021 recruiting class by both Rivals and 247Sports. Rivals listed Fidone as the No. 31 overall recruit in the country, while 247Sports tabbed Fidone as the nation's No. 41 recruit. He was the consensus pick as the top recruit in the state of Iowa. Fidone held offers from nearly every major program in the country and chose Nebraska over Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State.

Thomas was born on Sept. 20, 2002, and he is the son of Thomas Fidone and Jennifer Ernste and his stepmother is Elizabeth Simon. He is majoring in management and was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
