Head Coach: Mike Shanahan, 168-127 Overall (19th year)

Connections: Offensive line coach Pat Flaherty spent the 2000 season as the tight ends coach with the Redskins; Defensive line coach Robert Nunn held the same position with the Redskins in 2003; Tight ends coach Michael Pope held the same position with the Redskins for three years (1997-99), before re-joining the Giants in 2000; Running back Andre Brown was signed by the Redskins on 11/25/10, before being waived by the team on 07/29/11; Offensive tackle Sean Locklear spent the 2011 season with the Redskins; Cornerback Justin Tryon was originally selected in the fourth round (124th overall) by the Redskins in 2008, where he spent the first three years of his career (2008-10).

Back at Redskins Park: "I think any time people have to account for a quarterback, where you put him in a number of different positions, I think it presents problems for a defense," Shanahan said Monday when asked about his rookie Robert Griffin III. "If you always know where a quarterback's at, obviously you can isolate on that one position. But if a quarterback is able to roll out, possibly run an option, drop-back passing game and there's a question where he'll be, I think that's advantageous to that offense."
