The Athletic's Dane Brugler releases his 2025 NFL Draft class rankings

The 2025 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror.

The Giants ended up adding seven players to their roster throughout the draft's three days, addressing needs on both sides of the ball while also shoring up their depth.

Experts have published their marks on each team's draft class, with the Giants receiving some of the best draft grades across the NFL.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler released his annual rankings of every team's draft class from 1 to 32.

The Giants' seven-man class comes in at No. 5 on Brugler's list this year, with the selection of Abdul Carter with the third overall pick earning the honor of being Brugler's favorite pick.

"Darius Alexander was exactly what the Giants needed to complement Dexter Lawrence, and Cam Skattebo is an ideal running mate to pair with Tyrone Tracy," wrote Brugler. "But let's not overthink this one. Carter has the type of burst off the ball that strikes fear in the eyes of blockers and will help the Giants' defense get off the field. New York has an impressive collection of talent on that side of the ball."

In addition to naming his favorite pick from each team, Brugler also chose a Day 3 pick "who could surprise."

For the Giants, the draft analyst went with fifth-round pick Marcus Mbow.

"Considered a potential top-100 pick, Mbow fell to Round 5, mostly because of positional-fit questions," Brugler wrote. "The Giants will be hoping he can provide depth at both guard and tackle as a rookie and show enough to be considered a long-term option, especially with right guard expected to be a need after the season."

As a reminder, here is the team's full 2025 draft class:

  • Round 1 – No. 3: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
  • Round 1 - No. 25 (from Houston): Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi
  • Round 3 – No. 65: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
  • Round 4 – No. 105: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
  • Round 5 – No. 154 (from Seattle): Marcus Mbow, OL, Purdue
