Running Back Andre Brown – first on the team in rushing touchdowns and second in both carries and yards – suffered a fractured fibula in the Giants' 38-10 throttling last night of the Green Bay Packers, which was the team's 11th game. Brown led the Giants with 13 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown.
The Giants today placed Brown on injured reserve with a designation to return. Brown is not eligible to return to the practice field for six weeks (January 7) and is not eligible to play in a game for eight weeks (January 21), which means he would return to the game field only if the Giants advance to Super Bowl XLVII, which will be played on February 3 in New Orleans.
