Senior NFL columnist Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com dropped the Giants from third down to No. 8.
"They got a split from their two tough road games, but they had a real chance against the 49ers in the end," Prisco wrote. "They can put a real kill shot on the Eagles this week."

Brian Billick of FOX Sports placed the Giants at No.8, down three spots from a week ago.
"There is no shame is losing to a 49ers team on the road," Billick posted. "This was a slugfest by two teams that want to win the same way...physically. Eli Manning had a solid game, brought the G-Men back, but the two INTs (after throwing just six in the first eight games) is a concern. Victor Cruz continues to become a go-to guy for Manning."
NFC EAST: No. 8 Giants (5), No. 14 Cowboys (16), No. 20 Eagles (17), No. 28 Redskins (25).
ProFootballTalk put the G-Men at No. 6.
"Here come the Cowboys," PFT's Mike Florio posted. "And a schedule that gets no easier."
NFC EAST: No. 6 Giants (3), No. 12 Cowboys (15), No. 24 Eagles (20), No. 29 Redskins (25).
ESPN.com moved them back one place to No. 7.
"Eli Manning almost led the Giants back against San Francisco," staff writer Ashley Fox writes. "That it was a surprise he didn't says something about Manning's progress."
NFC EAST: No. 7 Giants (6), No. 12 Cowboys (15), No. 22 Eagles (16), No. 26 Redskins (22).Join other diehard Giants Fans!
