*The Giants are 0-2 in NFC East games for the second year in a row.
*The Giants' five-game losing streak is their longest since they lost eight in a row in 2004.
*The Giants were outscored in the fourth quarter, 14-0, for the second week in a row. They have been outscored in the fourth quarter this year, 61-21.
*The Giants committed four turnovers and forced none.
*The Giants rushed for 53 yards, their fifth consecutive game with less than 100.
*The Giants scored a touchdown on their first offensive possession on David Wilson's five-yard run. It was their first opening-series touchdown since the last time they played the Eagles in the 2012 season finale, when Eli Manning threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Rueben Randle. Under Tom Coughlin, the Giants are 22-11 when they score a touchdown on their opening offensive possession.
*Philadelphia gained 439 yards, the highest total allowed by the Giants since Baltimore totaled 533 yards on Dec. 23, 2012.
*The Eagles' 28 first downs were the most by a Giants opponent since Dallas had 28 on Oct. 28, 2012.
Manning completed 24 of 52 passes for 334 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The 52 passes were the third-highest regular-season total of his career. He threw 53 times at Seattle on Nov. 27, 2005 and vs. Washington on Dec. 16, 2007The 52 passes increased Manning's career total to 4,660. That moved him past Phil Simms (4,647) and into first place on the Giants' career list.
*This was the 20th regular-season game in Giants history in which they threw at least 50 passes. They are 1-19 in those games, including 1-17 when one quarterback throws every pass. The exception was a victory over Tampa Bay on Sept. 16, 2012, when Manning threw 51 passes. Manning threw 58 passes in the Giants' victory in the 2011 NFC Championship Game in San Francisco.
*This was Manning's 28th regular-season 300-yard game. The Giants are 13-15 in those games.
*Manning's record as a starting quarterback in October fell to 27-6.
*Hakeem Nicks had nine receptions for 142 yards. He last had nine catches in a game on Nov. 11, 2012 at Cincinnati. The yardage total was his highest since he had 199 yards vs. Tampa Bay on Sept. 12, 2012.
*Randle had six receptions for 96 yards and two touchdowns. The six catches tied a career high he set on Oct. 7, 2012 vs. Cleveland. The 96 yards were the second-highest total of his career; he had 101 yards in the season opener at Dallas on Sept. 8. And the two touchdowns tied the career high he set in the Giants' previous home game vs. Philadelphia, on Dec. 30, 2012.
*Wilson scored his first touchdown of the season his five-yard run. He ran for 16 yards on six carries before leaving the game for good in the second quarter with a neck injury.
*Wilson was replaced by Brandon Jacobs, who rushed for 37 yards on 11 carries. That was Jacobs' highest number of rushing attempts in a regular-season game since Dec. 11, 2011, when he carried 19 times (for 101 yards) at Dallas. Jacobs ran 14 times in the 2011 NFC Wild Card Game vs. Atlanta.
*A 34-yard run by Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick was the longest vs. the Giants this season.
*The Eagles' Alex Henery kicked five field goals (from 40, 27, 29, 36 and 41 yards), the first opposing player with that many three-pointers vs. the Giants since Dallas' Billy Cundiff kicked seven on Sept. 15, 2003.
*Eleven-year veteran David Diehl played for the first time this season after missing the first four games following thumb surgery. Diehl started at right guard for the first time since the final game of his rookie season on Dec. 28, 2003. He is the only Giants player whose arrival predates that of Coughlin and Manning.
*The Giants' inactive players were center David Baas (neck), cornerback Corey Webster (groin), defensive tackle Linval Joseph (knee/ankle), cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring), tight end Adrien Robinson (foot), wide receiver Louis Murphy (ankle) and quarterback Ryan Nassib.
*With Webster inactive for the third consecutive game and Aaron Ross placed on injured reserve Saturday, Trumaine McBride started for the first time this season. It was the 11th career start for McBride and first since Oct. 19, 2008, when he played right cornerback for the Chicago Bears against Minnesota. McBride had six tackles (five solo) and broke up two passes.
*Mike Patterson, who played for the Eagles in his first eight NFL seasons, started at defensive tackle for Joseph. It was his 100th career regular-season start. Patterson started for the first time since, as an Eagle, he lined up against Dallas on Dec. 24, 2011.
*The Giants also had a new starter at the other defensive tackle, where Shaun Rogers took the first snap for Cullen Jenkins, who was listed as questionable Friday with knee and Achilles injuries. It was Rogers' 129th career start and first since Nov. 6, 2011, when he started for New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay. He spent the 2012 season on injured reserve after being diagnosed with a blood clot.
*Jenkins played and shared the Giants' only sack with Mathias Kiwanuka.
*Joseph (knee/ankle) was last inactive on Dec. 19, 2010, ironically also a home game vs. Philadelphia. He had played in 38 consecutive regular-season games, starting 37 of them. Joseph had started 30 consecutive games, the third-longest streak on the team after Eli Manning (140, including Sunday) and Antrel Rolle (53). Kevin Boothe now has the team's third-longest streak with 27 consecutive starts.
*Wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan made his first career start in place of Victor Cruz, who entered the game for the second play. But it ended his streak of consecutive starts at 26, one less than what Boothe now has.
With Wilson sidelined, Jernigan returned two kickoffs for 41 yards.
*Johnathan Hankins, the Giants' second-round draft choice this season, made his NFL debut as a reserve defensive tackle and had five solo tackles.
*Safety Will Hill made his 2013 debut after missing the first four games while serving an NFL suspension. Hill played extensively and finished with 11 solo tackles.
*Safety Ryan Mundy led the Giants with 15 solo tackles.
*Coughlin lost a replay challenge for the first time this season with 12:28 remaining in the third quarter. Nick Foles threw to LeSean McCoy on the right sideline for an 11-yard completion and a first down. Coughlin challenged the play, believing McCoy a) wasn't inbounds when he came down with the ball, and b) that he did not maintain possession through the completion of the catch. After review, referee Walt Coleman upheld the call on the field. Coughlin is 1-1 this season, 35-42 with the Giants and 45-51 in his career on replay challenges.
*Jon Beason, the linebacker acquired Friday in a trade with Carolina, was active. He wore No. 54 and played on a punt return in the third quarter.
