5 players to watch in Giants vs. Eagles

The Giants look to end the season on a three-game winning streak when the Eagles come to MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Here are five players to watch:

RB SAQUON BARKLEY: Pat Shurmur did not fully commit to Barkley playing Sunday, but the Pro Bowl running back practiced all week and has been cleared medically to play. He suffered a high ankle sprain during the team’s Week 3 victory in Tampa Bay.

RB SAQUON BARKLEY: The NFC Offensive Player of the Week needs 89 yards in the season finale vs. Philadelphia to become the first Giants player to begin a career with two 1,000-yard seasons.

QB DANIEL JONES: Sunday will be just the ninth game since the 1970 merger in which rookie quarterbacks (Jones and Arizona’s Kyler Murray) selected among the first 10 choices in the draft will start against each other.

QB DANIEL JONES: Jones' 23 touchdown passes are tied for the third-highest total by a rookie in NFL history. Cleveland's Baker Mayfield holds the record with 27 in 2018. Indianapolis' Peyton Manning (1998) and Seattle's Russell Wilson (2012) threw 26 touchdown passes. Jones is tied at 23 with Indianapolis' Andrew Luck (2012) and Dallas' Dak Prescott (2016).

WR DARIUS SLAYTON: With wide receiver Sterling Shepard still in the concussion protocol, the rookie has taken on a bigger role in the offense and become one of Daniel Jones’ favorite targets.

WR DARIUS SLAYTON: Slayton heads into the final week of the season with the most touchdown catches by a rookie this season.

golden

OLB MARKUS GOLDEN: Golden is the first Giants linebacker with double-digit sacks since Lawrence Taylor in 1990.

KADEN-SURFACE

TE KADEN SMITH: Smith caught two touchdown passes, including the game-winner in overtime, against the Redskins.
