Friends talk fantasy.
Following “Bad Comedian” Eli Manning’s latest commercial hit for DIRECTV, it was the wide receivers' turn at comedy when Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham Jr. released a spot for fantasy football on NFL.com.
In the video shot in the Giants' locker room, Cruz asked Beckham if he should start the rookie phenom or Julio Jones in his fantasy league. Cruz went on to say that he is leaning toward the Atlanta Falcons' Pro Bowl receiver, to which a perplexed Beckham retorted, "We're teammates."
"It's nothing personal," Cruz said.
A narrator then broke the uncomfortable silence and asked, "Without NFL.com fantasy football, what would friends talk about?"
"So…how's your cat?" Beckham asked Cruz.
Meanwhile, reality football -- not fantasy -- begins this Thursday when the Giants report to training camp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center with the first practice being held the following day.
