LB Keith Rivers

Q: How did you feel before you got hurt out there?
A: There's a lot of room for improvement. I've just got to get better and correct some of the mental errors and continue to progress.

Q: How did you feel physically out there?
A: I felt good. It's fun to be back. It's fun to be a part of the action. Had a great time playing and obviously it didn't end up the way we wanted it to happen. Before the game, I was pretty nervous and I was able to settle myself down and realize I've been here and done it again and it's not my first rodeo. Able to calm down and got out there and made a few plays, but I also had some mistakes that need to get corrected.

Q: Do you normally get nervous before games?
A: Not necessarily. You always get a little butterflies before a game. If you don't, something's wrong with you. For this one, I was a little bit more so pregame. Once we warmed up and everything started, you're used to it. It's been a year since actual live bullets.

Q: New team?
A: Yeah. New atmosphere. It's different. You're out there with guys who just won a Super Bowl, so you've definitely got to make sure you raise your level of play. Not that you don't always, but its' just different.

Q: How bad did you get hurt?
A: I'll be alright. I'm just taking it day by day and we'll see each day.

Q: Do you feel like a Giant now?
A: Yeah. You've got the first live bullets out there, so you definitely do. Obviously you do during OTAs and minicamps and training camp, but now it's official. It's in the books.

Q: Was it unusual to be a part of this team but not a part of the Super Bowl team last year?
A: No. It's a new season. Everybody starts at 0-0. It's a new season, so no.

Q: You and Boley seemed to play pretty well. Do you see this as a competition between the two of you or do you see this is as a situation where it's going to be a rotation?
A: Honestly, I have no idea. I've given up on trying to think about that. If I do that, then I'm worried about the wrong thing. My thing is worrying about getting better each day and doing whatever it takes to help the team, whether it's helping them from what I see on the sideline or vice versa or a rotation. I don't put too much stock into that. I just put my hard hat on every day and go to work.
