Kenny Golladay, approaching his second year with the Giants, has fought through injury and is ready to come out stronger on the other side. Golladay sat down with John Schmeelk on the Giants Huddle podcast to describe the team's preparation and his own approach.
In addition to receivers, running backs like Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida are also capable of racking up receiving yards, keep opposing defenses on their toes. Wide receivers like Wan'Dale Robinson, Kadarius Toney and David Sills V add variety to the offense's skillset and the receiver room specifically.
"We can be very special, I think, as far as making plays," Golladay said. Offensive Coordinator Mike Kafka and Head Coach Brian Daboll, he added, will not shy away from creating those opportunities and calling big plays.
On a personal level, Golladay told that his physical readiness has offered him an advantage. "Getting that chemistry with (Quarterback Daniel Jones) DJ is very important," Golladay stated. He continued, "For me to be out there every practice, that's great." Given his strong rapport with Jones, Golladay hopes to be the quarterback's "security blanket" – a big body who can make those critical catches.
Golladay also offered insight on his defensive counterparts – cornerbacks like Adoree' Jackson, Aaron Robinson and Darnay Holmes. Their style resembles that of a "pest" on the field, creating challenges for opposing receivers.
