Linebacker Keith Rivers, a former first-round draft choice who spent four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, was acquired on Thursday in a trade for an undisclosed choice in the 2012 NFL Draft. Since then, everyone around the NFL has been weighing in.

Pat Kirwanof CBS Sports:@PatKirwanCBS - If Keith Rivers can stay healthy he is a steal for a 5th. He will permit Mathias Kiwanuka to play more DE. Rivers is a high character guy.
ESPN New York's Ohm Youngmisuk: It's a low-risk deal for the Giants, who hope to improve at linebacker by dealing the No. 32 pick in the fifth round for a former top-10 pick who hasn't reached his potential. The Giants also have two fourth-round choices this year due to a league-awarded compensatory pick.
NFC East blogger for ESPN.com, Dan Graziano: Rivers is a nice pickup for the Giants for the price. He was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2008 draft and a productive player for Cincinnati early in his career. He was available for such a low price (the 167th overall pick in this year's draft) because the Bengals don't have room for him in their starting lineup anymore and because he missed the 2011 season with a wrist injury. Health has been an issue for Rivers, but if he can stay healthy he's an upgrade at a position where the Giants were planning to lean heavily on second-year players.
Teammates also weighed in on Twitter.
Spencer Paysinger, a fellow linebacker who gave up his No. 55 to his new teammate (he'll wear No. 49 now): @SpittyP - Welcome to the Giants @rivers55. This is all amusing since I was in the stands watching @**rivers55** @**ClayMatthews52** Maualuga & Cushing do work at USC while I was in Highschool
Defensive captain kept it short: @JustinTuckNYG91 - welcome SIR
