It was his second career touchdown; on a similar play last year in Dallas, Pierre-Paul picked off Tony Romo and returned it 28 yards for a score.
Pierre-Paul was also credited with three tackles in the game.
He is the second Giant to be named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week Award in three games. Cornerback Terrell Thomas was honored after the Giants' victory in Philadelphia on Oct. 27, when he had 11 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in the Giants' 15-7 victory against the Eagles.
This is Pierre-Paul's third Player of the Week Award. He was honored in Weeks 14 and 16 of the 2011 season, following standout performances against Dallas (eight tackles, two sacks and a blocked field goal) and the Jets (five tackles and two sacks).
JPP is the first Giants defensive player to win at least three Defensive Player of the Week awards since Michael Strahan was honored five times from 1998-2003. JPP joins Lawrence Taylor (9) and Strahan as the only Giants named Defensive Player of the Week three-plus times.
