After each win, Giants fans vote for the "Extra Effort" Player of the Game Award on Giants.com. The voting is closed and the results have been tallied.
First, here's a recap of the nominees and their performances during Sunday night's thrilling 37-34 victory in Dallas:
QB Eli Manning: 27/47, 400 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT, 90.7 passer rating.
RB Brandon Jacobs: 19 carries for 101 yards and 2 TD.
DE Jason Pierre-Paul: Led the team with 8 tackles, notched 2.0 sacks (one for a safety), forced a fumble and blocked game-tying FG.
And the winner is…
By a landslide, Jason Pierre-Paul with 95 percent of the votes, followed by Jacobs (4%) and Manning (1%).
"It just comes from the heart," Pierre-Paul said on Wednesday. "Ever since I was young, when I started playing football I didn't know too much, but I've had in my heart, just run. If you're going to do something, you might as well do it full speed, especially if you know the calls and stuff. Just go full speed. You might make a mistake, you're going to make mistakes, but once you do it full speed it's in the past. You have to keep going."
Previous winners: Jason Pierre-Paul (2), Domenik Hixon, Victor Cruz, Manning (2), Ahmad Bradshaw.
