#Patriots coach Bill Belichick knew early on Joe Judge was head-coach material, meeting with him on a regular basis to go over program-building and what it takes to become a head coach. Now, he’s the #Giants coach.
Bill Belichick's comments on Joe Judge from back in July read like a letter of recommendation. Said Judge "could probably coach any position on the field." pic.twitter.com/3PhBKoTv3B
Dominoes falling all over the place. This will surprise many but Judge has some serious HC potential in the eyes of many. And obviously in the #Giants’ eyes. https://t.co/1iLO144x2k
There you have it. Very interesting hire for the Giants. Young, well-regarded in New England. Some had speculated he could ultimately succeed Belichick there. https://t.co/pLQsRoxWMy
Know this about Joe Judge >> spent three seasons under Nick Saban at Alabama and eight seasons under Bill Belichick at New England -- has three Super Bowl rings and two National Championship rings.
Matthew Slater on Joe Judge in back '17: “He’s very intense. Joe is really passionate about what he does. He has a hyper attention to detail; there is no stone unturned by the time we get to the game, and we feel super prepared..."https://t.co/M4yUnJ4j1e
As a positional coach, Judge is tough on players. Often the loudest voice heard at practices. The players I've spoken to credit him for being detail oriented. https://t.co/Y7AKPtMmmY
Joe Judge is a demanding, no-BS kind of coach. This is a big jump for him, but he’s been being groomed for a larger role, even before he added receivers to his coaching plate this year. Could have been a top Patriots OC candidate if McDaniels leaves and he’d stayed.
Giants fans can’t say new HC Joe Judge hasn’t been a part of a winning tradition. He’s been a key part of two of the most successful programs of modern era. While at Alabama and in NE, he won 5 championship rings in the last 10 years. And learned at hip of Saban and Belichick.
The Giants has to move on Patriots special teams coach Joe Judge quickly, because he had emerged as the top candidate at his alma mater, Mississippi State. Very well-respected in New England and has real presence.
Outside the box? Yes. But a good fit for New York.
