General manager Jerry Reese addressed the media yesterday with a general theme of when a team starts 0-6, everyone is to blame.
The Giants, however, have started to turn things around with two straight wins and sit two games back of the NFC East lead at the midway point of the NFL season. Dallas leads the division at 4-4, followed by Philadelphia (3-5), Washington (2-5), and New York (2-6).
"Obviously, 2-6 is not what we expected at the beginning of the season, but that's where we are right now and we're going to make the best of it," Reese said. "Things could be worse than they are. Our division has been slow to get started, so that's good fortune in respect to that. We're still in it. We're happy about that, to be in this position at this point, all things considered. Obviously, we didn't want to start out 0-6. It gives you a new perspective of how tough it is to win in this league."
