EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - This past weekend, the Timex Multisport Team, the country's oldest and most prestigious triathlon team, came together for its official training camp at the Timex Performance Center and New Meadowlands Stadium, home of the New York Giants. The team spent the weekend bonding, training, getting V02 MAX Tested, and learning about sports injuries from Giants trainer Ronnie Barnes, discussing heat acclimation, team goals and social networking skills. The team even took over the Giants' locker room for a day!
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Timex Multisport Team. To celebrate this occasion, the team gathered at Meadowlands Stadium (Jumbo Trons were lit up to welcome the athletes) for special dinner gala with host Bob Babbitt, guest speaker Dick Hoyt, and special awards given to a handful of athletes.
Among the attendees: Former New York Giant star Amani Toomer, inducted as an honorary member of Timex Multisport Team for his recent participation in the New York Marathon, where he raised over $20,000 for the New York Road Runners Youth Programs. Check out the video message from Amani below and congratulations to the Timex Multisport Team! To learn more about the Timex Multisport Team, visit &
