The Giants today waived veteran offensive lineman Adam Koets from the reserve/physically unable to perform list and made a roster move on their practice squad.
Koets underwent surgery after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in a victory in Seattle on Nov. 7, 2010. He was placed on injured reserve. When training camp opened in late July, Koets was placed on the reserve/PUP list. Koets suffered a back injury during the course of his rehabilitation.
Koets has been with the Giants since 2007, when he joined the team as a sixth-round draft choice. In four years he played in 11 regular season games with four starts (all in 2010) and in the NFC Wild Card Game at Tampa Bay on Jan. 6, 2008.
On the practice squad, the Giants added defensive end Craig Marshall and terminated the contract of fullback Alex Daniels.
Marshall was waived by the Giants on Sept. 3 after being with the team throughout training camp. He was a teammate of Jason Pierre-Paul and Jacquian Williams at South Florida, where he played in 32 games and had 73 tackles and nine sacks.
