It was already a major storyline heading into the offseason: what will the Giants' offensive line look like in 2015?
|
The question moved from story line to the lead item earlier this month when the Giants drafted Miami offensive tackle Ereck Flowers with the ninth overall selection.
Then it became THE headline last week when starting left tackle Will Beatty, who hasn't missed a game since 2011, underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle.
The injury, which occurred during weight training last Tuesday, has a recovery time of approximately five to six months.
That led us to Wednesday's first of 10 organized team activities (OTAs) at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, where the Giants unveiled their first look on the offensive line.
Below is what it looked like during non-contact team drills. Keep in mind, this will be a fluid situation from now until Week 1.
LT | LG | Center | RG | RT |
Ereck Flowers | Justin Pugh | Weston Richburg | Geoff Schwartz / John Jerry | Marshall Newhouse |
For reference, here is the offensive line configuration from the 2014 season:
LT | LG | Center | RG | RT |
Will Beatty | Weston Richburg | J.D. Walton | John Jerry | Justin Pugh |
