Head coach Tom Coughlin, general manager Jerry Reese and punter Steve Weatherford represented the Giants organization on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium for a charity softball game to honor the memories of NYPD officers Brian Moore, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, who were all recently lost in the line of duty.

The event, hosted by the New York Yankees, WFAN and its Boomer and Carton Morning Show, drew more than 17,000 fans to watch their local sports icons, like Hall of Fame manager Joe Torre, as well as politicians such as former NYC mayor Rudolph Giuliani and New Jersey governor Chris Christie. All net proceeds benefitted the Silver Shield Foundation, N.Y. PBA Widows' and Children's Fund, and the families of officers Moore, Liu and Ramos.

"Here's what this is all about: we're here tonight, all of us, to support the real Big Blue, the True Blue, our officers in blue that protect us all and put their lives on the line every day," Coughlin told WFAN’s Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts. "And we want to be here to tell them that we support them, we love them, we need them, we encourage them, and then also to be here for the families that lost in the most recent deaths in uniform. So we're here for the Moores, we're for the Ramos [family] and we're here for the Liu family."

Also in attendance were Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan, Jets head coach Todd Bowles, former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher, St. John's head basketball coach Chris Mullin and many more.

As for positions, Coughlin held down the corner as the third base coach.

"Everybody's running," he said.
