Giants sign draft picks Mykkele Thompson and Bobby Hart

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. –** The Giants today announced they have signed two of the six players they selected in the NFL draft last week.

They are safety Mykkele Thompson of Texas (fifth round) and offensive lineman Bobby Hart of Florida State (seventh round).

Thompson, a 6-2, 191-pounder, played in 52 games with 31 starts in four years for the Longhorns. His career totals included 213 tackles (125 solo), two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

As a senior, he started all 13 games and had 69 tackles (48 solo), including a career-high four for losses, and an interception.

Hart, a 6-4, 315-pounder, played both tackle and guard at Florida State. He played in 37 career games, including 28 starts at right tackle in 2013-14. Hart was an All-ACC honoree in each of those seasons.
