Eli Manning joined **The Michael Kay Show on ESPN 1050** for his weekly Monday evening report. Co-host Don LaGreca asked if Mario Manningham's drop in the end zone with 1:27 remaining was actually good news because it took more time off the clock.
"After the fact, you talk about it and you say it. It's like, well, now I'm kind of happy you did drop it because we took more time off and took away all their timeouts and just gave them 40 seconds left to try to go down and get a field goal. So after the fact you can say that. At the time, though, you always try to get the touchdown when you can just because you don't know what's going to happen the next play. You don't know what's going to happen if all of a sudden DeMarcus Ware comes around the corner and strips the ball. A lot of things can happen when you add a couple more plays to a drive. So when there's a chance to get a touchdown, you try to take it."
Manning was asked about his success in Cowboys Stadium, where he and the Giants improved to 3-0.
"I don't know. I'm not sure. We've had some really wild games down there. A couple on last second field goals when we're kicking it to win. This one we had a blocked field goal. So whenever you play indoors, I think quarterbacks have a great opportunity to play well. It's on turf, it's a fast field, no wind, no weather. It's always set up for a quarterback to play well, and we've had some great performances there."
Did he sign the wall again?
"No, it's just a one-time deal. But there are other people on the wall. It's not just me. There are probably 15-to-20 other names on the wall."
WFAN's Mike Francesa hosted Justin Tuck on Monday, asking the defensive captain about the win on the road.
"It was a dramatic win. Obviously it wasn't the way we wanted. There was a lot of emotion in the locker room afterwards. Anytime you can go down to Dallas and get a win down there, it's a good thing, especially when you come back home and you're first in the division."
Tuck spoke about the upcoming schedule and not having to pack his bags for the rest of the regular season.
"We get three home games. I know the Jets game we're considered the away team, but three home games in front of our crowd. It's going to be a playoff atmosphere in there, and it's going to be fun. That's what you play the game for – opportunities like this where every game is going to count."Join other diehard Giants Fans! Follow @Giants
