The New York Giants have launched an official mobile application for iPhone, Android and RIM devices in time for the 2011 season. The free mobile app is available to download by texting "GIANTS" to 51288 or by searching for "New York Giants Mobile" in iTunes, Android Marketplace or Blackberry App World.
Giants Mobile a one-stop shop for Giants information on the go.
The app feature set includes: real-time news, video-on-demand, photos, podcasts, statistics, game schedule and results, scores, standings, fantasy tracker, Twitter aggregator, the ability to share news/photos easily to Facebook/Twitter, and will allow fans to check into each of the Giants games through different check-in services.
In the near future, the Giants plan to allow fans to watch view video replays and watch different camera angles through the app for those attending Giants games at MetLife Stadium
"With over 7 million fans in our local market and one of the largest national fan bases in the NFL, we are launching Giants Mobile to enhance our fans' ability to connect with their favorite team anytime and anyplace. Over the past year, Giants fans represent one of the NFL's top three fan groups in social media with Giants' Facebook and Giants' Twitter user growth. Giants Mobile is a natural extension as we continue to service the needs of our fans" said Mike Stevens, New York Giants' Chief Marketing Officer.
Giants Mobile was developed by sports team app developer, YinzCam, Inc.
