2018 Bracket Challenge: Victor Cruz vs. Sam Madison
WR Victor Cruz
Years with NYG: 2010-16
Signed as an undrafted free agent out of UMass after an impressive preseason in 2010, Cruz burst onto the scene a year later and was the catalyst in the Giants' Super Bowl XLVI championship run. In 2011, Cruz set the franchise record for most receiving yards in a season with 1,536 – 99 of which came on one late-season touchdown against the Jets that sparked the Giants' playoff run. Cruz, who had two 1,000-yard seasons and came two yards shy of a third, is 10th in franchise history with 4,549 receiving yards.
VS.
CB Sam Madison
Years with NYG: 2006-08
Originally a second-round draft pick by Miami in 1997, Madison, a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro with the Dolphins, played the final three seasons of his 12-year career with the Giants. One of his best seasons came in 2007, when he had a career-high 14 passes defensed and four interceptions. His veteran prowess helped the Giants to a championship in Super Bowl XLII.
