Steve Weatherford is a man of the people.
The Giants punter, who last month visited a Leukemia patient after striking up a relationship on Twitter, took to social media again and is now going to prom with one lucky fan.
Last night Lauren Delbert of Bayonne, N.J., tweeted a photo to Weatherford that included a football inscribed with the words "Wanna tackle prom with me?"
The nine-year pro accepted.

So there you have it. The Super Bowl champion is joining the ranks of fellow athletes like NBA star Dwyane Wade and Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold to recently surprise teen fans at prom. Time to dust off the tux, Steve.
