The Giants' defense against the run ranked 30th in the league in 2014. With that said, there is certainly enough new talent to improve in 2015. What is the key to stopping the run?-Larry**
Dear Larry:
A good run defense is stout up the middle. In Johnathan Hankins and Cullen Jenkins, the Giants have a strong par of run-stopping defensive tackles. They also have a tackling machine in middle linebacker Jon Beason. If he can stay healthy, those three players will be the keys to the Giants' improving their run defense. And don't forget, the defense will employ new schemes this season under new coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
Some people are saying Kerry Wynn is the Giants' best bet at defensive end, citing his agility, discipline, and work ethic in the offseason. Will Wynn be a viable option in the Giants defense?
-Miles
Dear Miles:
It certainly appears he will be. Wynn played well when given an opportunity in the final five games a year ago. He was one of several players who worked out seemingly every day in the offseason. He's received a lot of reps in training camp and will get plenty of playing time in the preseason games. Wynn has a chance to be a very important member of the defensive end rotation.
