Last year when Terrell Thomas tore his ACL, Aaron Ross stepped into the starting spot. Ross was originally drafted in the first round to play. With him leaving in free agency, and Thomas' latest blow, who do you see taking his place come opening game? Thomas' injury is still being diagnosed – he will be examined by Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday – so it is far too premature to suggest he has played his last game as a Giant. Thomas hopes to return to the field this season, so let's hold the obituaries. If he can't play, my guess is the void at right cornerback will again be filled by a first-round draft choice – in this case, Prince Amukamara. Even without Thomas, the Giants currently have 10 cornerbacks, so that could be the most competitive position in training camp and the preseason.
