EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Dexter Lawrence's season ended on Thanksgiving Day, but the respect and admiration he's earned from his peers and fans has remained strong through the end of the season.
The NFL announced Thursday that Lawrence, arguably the Giants' best player and most visible leader, was selected as a starting interior lineman to the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games.
This is Lawrence's third consecutive Pro Bowl selection. He is the first Giants player to be voted to three straight Pro Bowls since safety Landon Collins from 2016-18 and the first defensive lineman since Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan from 2001-03. Strahan was chosen for his seventh and final Pro Bowl in 2005.
Lawrence is the franchise's first interior defensive lineman to earn three Pro Bowl selections since Rosie Grier in 1953, 1956 and 1960.
Lawrence's sixth Giants season ended in Dallas on Nov. 28, when he dislocated his left elbow in a 27-20 loss to the Cowboys. In his 12 games, the 340-pound nose tackle and three-time team captain led the team with a career-high 9.0 sacks and 16 quarterback hits. He recorded all nine sacks in the season's first seven games, including a career-best 3.0 in the Giants' victory in Seattle on Oct. 6.

Despite missing the last four games, Lawrence remains the Giants' sacks leader entering their season finale Sunday in Philadelphia. Brian Burns is second on the team with 8.0 sacks and has tied Lawrence for the quarterback hits lead with 16.
Lawrence was credited with 44 tackles (23 solo), eight tackles for loss and one forced fumble. He was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 2.
Burns was selected as a first alternate at outside linebacker, while rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers was chosen as a second alternate.
Burns and offensive lineman Greg Van Roten are the only Giants players to start all 16 games this season. The former has a team-high 17 tackles for loss, his 8.0 sacks and 16 quarterback hits, plus eight passes defensed and two forced fumbles. Burns is sixth on the team with 66 tackles (40 solo).
Nabers has had one of the most productive seasons by a rookie wide receiver in NFL history with 104 receptions, 1,140 yards and six touchdowns. He will set a franchise single season record if he catches four passes against the Eagles.
The Pro Bowl Games are a multi-day AFC vs. NFC event that will feature 88 of the NFL's top players in several skills competitions and a flag football game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Sunday, Feb. 2. Peyton and Eli Manning will be the head coaches for their respective conferences for the third consecutive season.
