Two 5-7 teams met on the field on Sunday, but the Chargers came out on top, ending the Giants' last hopes for a playoff berth.
Big Blue fell behind by 24 points heading into halftime and turned the ball over three times en route to a 37-14 loss to San Diego.
"Very, very disappointing loss for us," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said after the game. "We have a three-game schedule to go. We have three games to work as hard as we can, prepare as hard as we can and see if we can regain some of the respectability we lost today."
