Roy Helu holds two victories over him, but Prince Amukamara has the jewelry.
A year ago, the former Nebraska teammates' careers diverged. Amukamara was picked on the first round by the Giants, while the running back was deployed to the division rival Washington Redskins.
Nonetheless, the two traveled back to Nebraska together recently to attend a charity banquet.
Amukamara received some ribbing about from his teammate-turned-
competitor, but he got the final laugh.
"I said, 'Check my ring finger,'" Amukamara said, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
"We just had a little fun, but they did beat us twice and they're going to have a great team with Robert Griffin III. So that's definitely a game that's on our schedule that we're looking at."
They met with students and spoke at the local Boys Town, part of a nationwide program helping children and families in need. Amukamara will see Helu again in Week 7 as the Giants host the Redskins before traveling to D.C. to play the first game of December in Week 13.
"Everyone's excited," Amukamara continued in the article. "Eli [Manning has] already set the tone. Just telling everybody that, 'Last year is last year. This year it's a new year. Everyone's going to be gunning for us, and just be prepared.'"
