Daily Blitz - June 13: Pascoe leads new TE's

There's a reason each NFL season is drastically different than the one before.

A lot of it boils down to personnel turnover, and the Giants' tight end group is just another example of that. From pickups of Martellus Bennett, Ryan Purvis and Larry Donnell to drafting Adrien Robinson, four of the seven players are new to the position room.

However, there's one familiar face greeting them and that's Bear Pascoe, whose three years in the system makes him a ranking official along with Travis Beckum.

While improving his own game, Pascoe is showing the ropes to the newcomers.

"I've just tried to, as my part, just know my assignments on every play whatever position I'm in on – tight end or fullback or whatever – and then helping the young guys along," Pascoe said before Tuesday's afternoon practice. "Purvis is new to the group, Martellus is new to the group, and then Larry and Adrien. So I'm just doing my best to bring those guys along and help them out in any way I can."

Coughlin reiterated yesterday these three days of practice are all about seeing improvement before the team breaks and reports to Albany for training camp at the end of July.

"All I'm trying to do is just be as detailed as possible in my assignments," Pascoe continued. "Finish this section, this phase, of our football strong going into the break. I'm not really thinking about [training camp], I'm just taking one play at a time and doing it to the best of my ability and trying to make this team better than it was last year."
