The Giants have a one-one punch at quarterback.
Their depth chart boasts two players selected first overall in their respective drafts. Two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning got the nod in 2004 coming out of Ole Miss, while Fresno State's David Carr was the first name called two years earlier.
Since the merger in 1970, a total of 19 quarterbacks were given the same distinction as the No. 1 pick and the two current Giants who are part of the "rare fraternity" spoke about their draft day in a special on NFL Network.
"You start watching TV and listen to everything, what everyone says about you," Manning said. "I promise you it's not going to help one bit. It's just going to make things worse."
While Manning waited to see where he would land, other players had more important things to worry about -- wardrobe. As is often the case at the draft, the suit the player wears becomes just as prominent as the NFL jersey he holds up.
Carr, following Carson Palmer in the montage, talked about his draft-day threads.
"I still have my suit," he said. "I've never worn it actually again, and every time I see it in my closet, I'm like, 'Oh, maybe that one.'"
Meanwhile, Giants.com is rolling out its own series of draft memories from current and former players.

My dad is telling me, 'Hey, just enjoy this experience, enjoy this run.' It was very stressful with the whole San Diego deal and everything that went down and not knowing where you're going to be drafted," Manning said. "So you never know what's going to happen. Even that draft day was even more stressful. When San Diego drafts you, you don't know what's going to happen and 45 minutes later I hear the news I've been traded to the Giants and was really excited about that obviously. Then finally I got to kind of enjoy that day. It was a great day, and after I heard the news I had been traded to the Giants, that's when I really could relax and say this is going to be fun."
*2006: WR
Coming soon: Chris Snee, Michael Strahan, Will Beatty and Frank Gifford later today; Terrell Thomas, Joe Morris, Jessie Armstead and Harry Carson on Wednesday; David Diehl, Amani Toomer, Carl Banks and Jim Burt on Thursday.

Clay Matthews says he’ll never get over loss to the Giants. [ProFootballTalk]
*"I didn't catch the Super Bowl at all, simply because I was on a plane at that time," Matthews said. "I don't know if you ever really get over it. I still remember losses from my childhood that you never get over. Fortunately we get to play the Giantsagain this year and hopefully have a little redemption. But more power to them. They obviously came on at the end of the season."
